DEL, LLC is an independent exploration and production company with a
non-operator, oil-focused asset base.
We are primarily invested in
crude oil production in North Dakota’s Williston Basin.
DEL, LLC participates in wells on a basis that is proportionate to its leasehold interest in each drilling unit. Thus if DEL, LLC controls leases on 10% of a drilling unit, DEL, LLC would contribute 10% of well costs and would receive 10% of well income.
The companies that hold the majority interest in a drilling unit handle the actual drilling and operation of the wells, while DEL, LLC participates as a non-operating partner. Because DEL, LLC takes a minority interest in its wells, it is able to participate in more wells and, therefore, a diversified well portfolio. This allows for a lower operational risk on a well-by-well basis.
DEL, LLC is able to partner with some of the most experienced and efficient operators who invest heavily in exploration, drilling research, and development. By taking a minority interest in a well, we can access the operator’s knowledge and expertise associated with that well.
